The Lathe Steady I made for my son Marc's Rikon mini lathe.
Made for 2 layers of 1/2" MDF for the body, 1/2" MDF for the spokes, and 3 layers of white oak for the platform.
The wheels came off an old pair of inline skates the I don't use any more

I've seen lots of homemade and commercial steady rests but none, until now, that would merit the term Work of Art! Simply awesome. Looks loke it would outperfom the $150.00 one I bought recently >:(

Thank you Jeff. Im working on a set of Sketch up plans for the lathe steady. I will let everyone know when I finish.
