Dirk,

The end tables turned out to be harder to build than the coffee table itself.  Had a hard time getting the tops leveled and the tables from wobbling.  I was about ready to put a book of matches under one of the legs....but I got it all worked out.  They are finished and was planning on putting them in the house this weekend.  I will take some pics tommorrow of the set in good light.  Overall it was a good project and im pleased with the outcome.  Thank you for your interest in my project.

Started the finishing on the matching end tables today.  It seemed a lot harder to work with the smaller tables.  I will post pics when finished if anyone is interested.

Need some guidance on saw blades.  I have a craftsman circular saw and the blade that came with it.  Probably a 24 tooth blade.  I am looking to get a better blade soon.  I plan on mostly working with pine and cypress for now and I will also use it to rip plywood.  What would be a decent blade or blades to get at an affordable price.  Not wanting to spend more than 30-40 bucks total.

Dirk,
I got the idea from looking at anawhite.com  , she has a lot of simple designs.  I used construction grade pine, a circular saw and, a mouse type sander on this table.  I wanted to see some imperfections in the wood and fit of the construction.

Oh, and welcome to the forum.

Laney,

I used the wipe on poly technique from the video you posted.  I have learned a lot in the past few weeks and, I am interested in improving my skills.  I think the table turned out better than I expected but I find a lot of faults in it too.  I guess there is something to learn from everything you do.

I think the e-mail went to a junk folder and I deleted it without looking.  If you send it again I promise I'll read it this time.

Thanks for the link.   I got the stain done today and going to wipe on the poly a few times over the rest of the week..  Turned out a little darker than I wanted but, am still pleased with the outcome as it is my first project.  I will post some more pictures when i'm finished.
