Rodman, just make sure to wash the needle out after each use so the glue doesn't dry up in it. its tough to get out.. but its a neat little tip for getting into tight spots.

Nicely Done! I like the jigs you made for planing the dowels down. The rounded off edges gived the guages a nice look. I appreciate the feedback and the tips for future guages I may make. Great Job!, Im sure the friends you give the guages to as  gifts will enjoy them. Thank you for posting!! :O)

Woodworking Tips / Tricks / How to Etch Brass

Recently over on Google + I asked if you would like to see a video tutorial to see the technique for etching the plates to get a negative background like you see in the photo. (brass background, only the logo or lettering is darkened)  My current video tutorial on youtube shows how to etch a brass plate with the logo or lettering being the brass and the background darkened...(shown in the photos) If so, comment on this post, and I will make a video showing the steps to making a brass plate as shown in the picture.

I'm glad you guys like the forum. And TheLt, lol I will do my best to give as much explanation as possible in the videos. The reason I worried about talking to much, stems from a few comments regarding to much talk, not much action..lol...Nevertheless, Im glad you are getting something from the content!!.
