Woodworking Tips / Tricks / Glue Brush
« Last post by Summers Woodworking on August 06, 2012, 07:12:17 pm »
As a lot of us know already but some may not know. You can use a silicone basting brush to apply wood glue. Just cut the brush in half so it doesn't soak up to much glue. You can buy these silicone brushes almost anywhere. The great thing about using these brushes is when the glue dries on the brush you can just quickly peel it from the bristles. :o

Started the finishing on the matching end tables today.  It seemed a lot harder to work with the smaller tables.  I will post pics when finished if anyone is interested.

Shop Tools / Saw Blades

Need some guidance on saw blades.  I have a craftsman circular saw and the blade that came with it.  Probably a 24 tooth blade.  I am looking to get a better blade soon.  I plan on mostly working with pine and cypress for now and I will also use it to rip plywood.  What would be a decent blade or blades to get at an affordable price.  Not wanting to spend more than 30-40 bucks total.

Woodworking Tips / Tricks / Re: A great way to get Free wood

No I haven't built anything with it as of yet. As a matter of fact, I had planned on checking the moisture content of it Tuesday. It has been raining a lot so I wouldn't get an accurate reading however it has been hot and sunny this last week and weekend. So its a good time for me to check it. I am looking forward to building with it as soon as it is ready. If you haven't already, be sure to check out my two videos about the pecan. here is the link.
